Having Islamic education is vital for a child personal development. Education opens up their vision of the world and can help them earn a living and develop their community. For this reason, Muin Welfare Trust has started Alim and Hafiz programme. For hundreds in the area, poverty keeps education out of reach. As a result, families cannot improve their quality of life and break free from poverty. However, access to education is one of the best routes out of. It helps boost confidence; it strengthens community participation; it protects children from being coerced into child labour.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it" - Sahih al-Bukhari 5027: Book 66, Hadith 49
Muin Welfare Trust makes education a priority among its long-term and development-based efforts. Programmes are aimed at both adults and children and include building and equipping schools, offering literacy classes and training teachers. Many of the education projects target impoverished women and young girls, helping them break free from poverty and ensuring stability for generations to come.
Adequate access to education results in better family health and reduced rates of child malnutrition and mortality, and it gives women access to better work opportunities.
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah said, 'O son of Adam! Spend, and I shall spend on you." - Sahih al-Bukhari 5352: Book 69, Hadith 2
Muin Welfare Trust not only provides home for orphans but also education programmes. Every year many children join our Alim and Hafiz program. We have to increase the teaching staff and also make sure their livelihood is met.
Muin Welfare Trust recruits teachers to accomodate the rise in students. These teachers themeselves come from poor family and to manage their salaries, the Trust runs 'Sponsor a teacher' programme. You can help donate the teacher's salaries.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.' - Sahih al-Bukhari 1442: Book 24, Hadith 45
The most noble and blessed act that every woman looks forward to in her life is marriage. Marriage is a religious duty and is consequently a moral safeguard as well as a social necessity. Islam does not equal celibacy with high "taqwa" / "Iman". Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has said, "Whoever among you is able to marry, should marry, and whoever is not able to marry, is recommended to fast".
Poor and orphan woman are unable to afford marriage expenses. Muin Welfare Trust runs Sponsor a Wedding programme for these women. You can contribute to this noble cause and relieve poor parents off from these costs. The wedding we perform are simple and strictly adhere to Shariah. We provide basic household gift items and arrange food for the occasion.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever digs a well will receive reward for that from Allah (SWT) on the Day of Judgment when anyone amongst jinn, men, and birds drinks from it." - Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim
Water is so much more than just a drink: cooking food, cultivating crops and providing for livestock, washing hands and utensils to stop the spread of diseases. Many areas have a serious shortage of water. People around do not have access to clean drinking water.
Muin Welfare Trust works in providing water in these areas. We build water well and pumps around different areas. We also take care of maintenance of these water pumps and wells. You can join us in sponsoring water wells/pumps by donating to the cause.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If a Muslim clothes another Muslim, he will remain in the protection of Allah until a shred of that cloth is left on him." - Al-TirmidhÏ in Al-Sunan, Ch.: (41), 4:651 Hadith #2484.
Muin Welfare Trust runs Madrasa for boys and girls. These students come from 108 surrounding villages and most for them are from a very poor background. The situation is such that these students cannot even afford stationery and clothes.
The stationery cost £50 and the clothes cost £100 per annum respectively. During the winter season the temperature goes down to 2.8 degrees Celsius and during summer it jumps upto 42.3 degree Celsius. These students wear almost the same outfits during these extreme changing weathers.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever builds a Masjid for the sake of Allah, Then Allah will build for him a house like it in paradise" - Sahih al-Bukhari 439, Sahih Muslim 533
You can join us and donate towards this noble cause. The total cost for building a small Masjid is £2500. The Masjid can accomodate upto 50 worshippers at a time which usually serves a local village population. You can do this generous donation and help us build a Masjid. Our Masjids experience wear and tear over time; and with a growing Muslim population in the area, it also faces space constraints. Muin Welfare Trust not only builds these Masjids but also looks after their maintenance.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "One who strives to help the widow or the poor is like one who strives in the cause of Allah" - Sahih al-Bukhari 5038
The Trust also provides housing facility for Ulama suffering from poverty in village. The cost for this is £1000 per house. Apart from this their family is given £100 per month. This is because many Ulamas are suffering extremely due to lack of food and money but do not speak up or surrender to begging. Our Trust investigates and helps these Ulamas.
School education was rare and only 10% had sufficient school education. 90% of the population suffers from extreme poverty and there are no hospitals and health centers nearby. In the town of Netrokona, about 40,000 local people are in desperate need of Masjid, health and educational facility.

For the babies without nutrition, health care, clean water, protection and education, they can't possibly survive. The poor mother is unable to feed the baby due to many reasons. We at Muin Welfare Trust started ‘Aid for babies’ programme. The parents are in such a bad shape that they cannot afford milk for the babies. The babies are left without proper food and milk. This results in serious health issues for these babies.
